Empowering young mothers to achieve economic independence, positive parenting, and mental wellbeing
The Ndoto Yangu Project empowers young mothers who are unable to return to school after pregnancy. The project addresses the unique challenges they face, including economic hardship, social stigma, and limited access to education or employment.
Participants receive entrepreneurship training, mentorship, and psychosocial support, along with access to income-generating opportunities such as tailoring, cooking, and small-scale retail. The project also promotes positive parenting practices, early childhood development, and nutrition education.
